White Paper
Operational Technology (OT) environments, traditionally centered on safety and uptime, are now more interconnected than ever. While this digital transformation drives efficiency and real-time analytics, it introduces significant risks by integrating legacy technologies with modern connectivity and expanding the attack surface through third-party vendors and remote access solutions.
To address these risks, the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), in partnership with international agencies including the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Australian Signals Directorate’s (ASD) Australian Cyber Security Centre, published the Secure Connectivity Principles for Operational Technology (OT). These principles provide a framework for organisations to design, secure, and manage connectivity to prevent physical harm and disruption to essential services.
This document serves as a guide mapping the 8 principles set forth in the NCSC guidance to the corresponding capabilities within Claroty. This alignment demonstrates how the Claroty solution supports the design and implementation of secure OT connectivity.
